Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR)

Yamuna Body rolling is a Body Sustainability practice developed by Yamuna Zake.  It is a series of self-correcting routines to help you realign, adjust and maintain every part of the body.

 It is a lifestyle method that empowers people to rebuild their bodies.  YBR works with the body’s own logic to restore and improve function.  It uses small balls developed specifically for this work.  Yamuna Body Rolling is mobility work and stretching, however it is weight-bearing and allows you to access areas that other modalities miss.

Though YBR treats muscle and fascia, one aspect that makes YBR unique is its focus on bone.  All soft tissue in the body connects to bone. To impact these tissues the most, we start with bone. Though YBR is helpful when working with past injuries, surgeries or pain, these conditions are not necessary to benefit from YBR.  YBR is experiential and educational.  The sensory feedback from rolling is relaxing, restorative and energetic.  But the information one receives from their body also provides a chance to learn more about anatomy, the human body, and proper movement and alignment.
